Terms of Service

1. Platform Overview

Timofi (“the Platform”) is a talent marketplace operated by Timofi Inc. that connects employers with professionals. Timofi is a marketplace and payment processor — not an employer of record. Professionals are contractors of the employer, not of Timofi. The employer is responsible for local labor law compliance.

2. Accounts

Employers must register with a company domain email, provide a LinkedIn profile, and add a payment method before unlocking video interviews. Professionals must create a profile with a video resume. All accounts must represent real individuals and real companies.

3. Free Services

Browsing professional profiles and contacting professionals through the Platform messaging system is free for employers. Creating a professional profile is free.

4. Paid Services — Video Interview Unlocks

Employers pay to unlock video interview recordings and associated scores. Pricing is dynamic and increases with demand. Unlocks are non-refundable. If a professional is unresponsive after an unlock, the employer receives a credit toward a future unlock (not a cash refund).

5. Paid Services — Milestone Work

Employers may post paid milestones (minimum $50 per milestone, minimum $10 per stage). Payments are held in escrow. Employers have 72 hours to approve or reject deliverables. If no action is taken, payment auto-releases to the professional. Either party may escalate to Timofi arbitration within 7 days of auto-release.

6. Management Software Fee

Employers who choose to pay professionals through Timofi are charged a 20% management software fee on payroll. This includes access to project management tools, milestone bonuses on salary, daily video updates, and AI monitoring. The management software fee is optional — employers may manage professionals independently.

7. Professional Earnings & Payouts

Professionals earn revenue from video interview unlocks, paid interviews, and paid tests — all at 30% (organic) / 60% (self-referred via the professional’s profile link). Additional revenue from milestone work (90% of milestone payment) and referral bonuses ($20/month per qualifying referral).

Minimum payout threshold: $20.Earnings accumulate until the $20 minimum is reached. Payouts are processed monthly via the professional’s chosen method (Wise, bank transfer, PayPal, or USDC/USDT). Unclaimed balances remain available indefinitely.

8. Referral Program

Professionals earn $20/month for each referred professional who is hired through the Platform and maintains a minimum of 80 hours/month and $500/month in earnings. Referral bonuses continue for as long as the referred professional remains active. Milestone-only work does not qualify for referral bonuses.

9. Search Campaigns

Search campaigns are one-time proactive outreach services starting at $600. If a campaign does not produce sufficient qualified candidates, Timofi will continue outreach at no additional cost until targets are met. For ongoing recruiting, monthly plans are available (see Full Service Recruiting).

10. Full Service Recruiting

Full Service Recruiting is offered in monthly plans (Starter $500/mo, Standard $1,700/mo, Complete $5,000/mo) with a 3-month minimum commitment. Plans include job posting, search campaign distribution, managed screening, AI lie detection, and delivery of a pre-vetted shortlist. A 90-day replacement guarantee applies to Standard and Complete plans: if the hired candidate leaves or is terminated within 90 days, Timofi will re-run the search at no additional cost.

10a. Staffing Services

Staffing engagements provide dedicated nearshore engineering teams on a transparent salary-plus-fee model. The talent salary is disclosed to the client; Timofi adds a management fee (25–35% depending on tier) that covers vetting, payroll, compliance, ongoing support, and a 120-day replacement guarantee. Staffing is month-to-month with no long-term contract. Clients may interview for free, trial for 2 weeks, and cancel anytime without penalties.

11. AI Interviews & Lie Detection

All AI interviews conducted through the Platform include automated deception analysis. By participating in an AI interview, professionals consent to this analysis. Interview recordings and scores are made available to employers who unlock them.

12. Data Ownership

Professionals own their profile data and may export or delete it at any time. Reviews from completed transactions remain on the Platform. Employers own their company data and job descriptions.

13. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not: create fake profiles, manipulate view counts or pricing, harvest contact information without intent to hire, submit fraudulent reviews, or use the Platform to circumvent payment obligations.

14. Termination

Either party may terminate their account at any time. Outstanding balances will be paid out within 30 days of termination, subject to the $20 minimum payout threshold. Timofi reserves the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
